    Insulin Question

This may be a akward question.....
I have very stubborn stomach fat that is very hard to get rid of.
Im on TRT and I have my diet in check!
Is stubborn belly fat a sign that I may be insulin resistant?
Can anyone use insulin?or is it just for people with diabetis?
Would be nice to learn a bit more!

You need to do a LOT of research before even thinking about using insulin because you can easily put yourself into insulin shock and possibly die. After researching it a few times I decided it's not something I want to mess with.

If you think you might be insulin resistant then get checked out by your doctor.

^^ I agree with this. Using slin to lose body fat can be quite a tricky and even dangerous proposition, I really would not recommend it in any case.

About the only way to determine if you're insulin resistant is to check your fasted blood glucose with a meter. If you're bg levels are 100 or more then you're becoming insulin resistant, which means your body isn't making optimal use of the carbs you're putting into it. I check my fasted bg levels periodically (as I'm a slin user) to make sure I'm not becoming insulin resistant. You can buy the meters, lancers, and strips at your local walmart over the counter. When I 1st started checking my bg levels they averaged about 95. I wanted to lower these levels to make my body more insulin sensitive so I would get more absorption out of the carbs I ingested (fuel for the gym). I started making better carb choices and quit having carbs at 5:00pm. After about a month of this my fasted bg levels averaged 80-85 so my body was far from insulin resistant. In fact, I became very lean and any carbs I ingested my body stored as fuel (not fat) for my workouts. Moral of the story is don't underestimate the power of insulin sensitivity...it's made a dramatic difference in my health and physique. BTW, for anyone whose bg levels are approaching 100 they should NOT be using slin. No offense OP but you're not ready for slin. If you want to get rid of the stubborn belly fat go buy a bg meter and started testing yours 1st thing in the morn in the fasted state. Also, start making better choices in your carb intake (google the glycemic index) and use only low GI carbs.

So, what I got out of what you posted is that no carbs after 5:00 pm.. Correct?
    And low glycemic carbs... Right?

Avoid sugar and other processed foods.
Check your faster BGL (no food for 12 hours beforehand).

I actually keep sugar as low as possible!
    My Diet is very clean....

I have a question though.... If my insulin response is high, what would be the next step?
What do you guys do to keep insulin at bay??

All you can do is minimize sugar and other high GI foods. Now stop worrying so much about insulin and focus on diet and exercise.
