I've read it's possible to have gh deficiency with normal igf1 levels, I'm wondering how that is possible if it is? and what test would be needed to confirm? My doctors think I'm panhypopituitaryism from brain cancer treatment.. I had a medulla blastoma with surgery, chemo and radiation. Since all that I've been diagnosed with low testosterone, hypothyroid, and low adrenals which I'm receiving treatment for. With those deficiencies it seems like my gh levels would be in the tank also.

I had this thing once in my bloodwork i was worried , and asked the lab, they said that gh needs to be testet after L-dopa , it needs stimulations , the Gh is low for some lab kits they won't show the results correctly . The igf1 is resemblance of gh .
Yes. Diagnosis needs challenge test by artificially inducing hypoglycemia or administering IV l-arginine, and measuring the GH elevation.Quote:

If your are already secondary hypogonadal, hypothyroid and have adrenal insufficiency due to low ACTH then it is VERY likely you are GH deficient also.

Yeah, i have great insurance at the moment. my endo prescribed me 300mg test c a week and with my insurance I have a zero copay. Since all my other levels are low and my pituitary and hypothalamus are fried.. What are the odds my hgh levels are low also? To me it seems impossible that they could be normal with every other hormone being deficient.
