    Mk677 hangover?

Ive been on it for last 9 months. I ran out and iguess i will not get more in 2 weeks.
I have been without if for 1 week now and im feeling tired and workouts are completely without good feeling. Strength and size remains tho.
Could it be that my body has shut down igf1 production like lh shutdown from ex test use?
I thouth it migth be low test from last week before next nebido shot, but im not sure.

your hypothalamus is shut down and is not producing GHRH at the moment (GHRH = growth hormone releasing hormone .. which is the hormone that stimulates the pituitary to release actual HGH) .. your body was essentially using the MK677 as its GHRH and thus stopped producing it, without shutting down actual HGH release. GHRH shut down, while HGH got upregulated .

your hypothalamus should bounce back though and start producing GHRH again , and thus HGH again .. when you run MK677 for extended periods of time its probably best to take multiple days or even a week off here and there.

being exogenous HGH itself does not directly shut down the hypothalamus (again, MK is essentially replacing what the hypothalamus produces, ie, GHRH) because it doesn't act on the pituitary like MK does , this is not as likely to happen with actual HGH. plus the active life of exiguous HGH is only about 6 hours , where MK is 24 hours .
so with MK , again its best to take days off here and there as you run it

Sounds logic. But everything ive read about mk tells it should not interfer with any natural production whatsoever. But its damned logic continous use Will interfer. Quick recovery is maybe the reason why the shutdown is not stressed in the articles.
But thanks for an informativ comment.

I think most sites that talk about it not shutting down natural production are in reference to the PITUITARY, and it not shutting down natty gh production , ie, gh pulses from the pituitary . in fact MK can actually help kick start natty production of GH release from the pituitary after say a long run of exogenous HGH usage. but they are forgetting about the hypothalamus. and the production of GHRH , which is a totally different hormone then HGH . its the production of this hormone (GHRH) from the hypothalamus that MK is likely to supress, indirectly, form long term usage .

but I would agree . MK does NOT supress the natural production of HGH from the Pituitary , quite the opposite

So would you suggest a 5/2 protocol or similar?

Kel, I’ve read of others doing 5/2 but I’d also like to know his thoughts on 5/2.

all I can tell you is what I personally do. I have no evidence or blood work or anything showing this to be wrong or right.. but every 10 or so days I take 3-4 days off.
I run MK a good part of the year. probably 9 out of 12 months. actual exogenous HGH is likely less suppressive to GHRH then MK677 is (the long half life of MK plays a role I'm sure).

I couldn't handle 25mg. Too strong for me. I backed it down to 12.5 mg daily and got decent results with minimal sides.

Thought I was the only one...I tried 25 and felt like someone sucked the life out of me for going on 3 wks. It’s supposed to abate after a week or so but never did lesson with me, and to be honest, I think I was on it daily for 24 days. Could be that the peptide mfr produced or sold something much stronger than labeled, too. But I didn’t like it.
So I ran some CJC and GHRP and after almost 6 mos had low IGF1 levels. Last time I ran the peptides I got a decent response with levels putting me in the 30 year old range and I’m in my 50s. This time came back as in my 50-60s.

I’m about to start some. Just getting over a nerve transposition that put me out for about 8 months.

    @Obs, I’m ALWAYS lurking!
