    Low non fasting glucose levels

I’m not taking insulin, HGH, or any aas. When I have been getting bloodwork done for my HRT my doctor puts a glucose lab on there too... idk why. But anyways I go in Saturday mornings to have my blood drawn about 30-60 minutes after I have my morning shake (oats, egg whites, and whey) and a glass of orange juice.

Why is my glucose low after I eat? And is this a problem? When I say low, I’m only slightly under the low end of the range.

What is your exact result with reference range and units of measurement ?

Do you have a glucometer to test yourself ? They are cheap and you can just prick yourself every hour and graph out your blood glucose levels over a day/week/months/etc

If I had to guess maybe too much OJ. It's pure sugar you might be spiking. Most of the strongmen have adapted OJ into nutrition as it's free liquid calories. Ramps up gherkin too.

My brother wouldn't OJ increase his glucose levels even more? Like you said it's straight sugar, straight carbs. Along with everything else I would think his glucose levels definitely shouldn't be low. Right?

I would do like Windex suggested and track your glucose for a while, especially upon waking and PWO. It may help narrow down what is happening.

I don't get it .. you imply that glucose is low on your blood work, but then you imply that its low after you eat . aren't you getting the blood work done fasted before you eat?
if its low after you eat , then you must be checking it yourself correct ? whats the number and how long post meal ?

59 was my glucose. Range is 70-99. I do not get this bloodwork done fasted. This is bloodwork for my HRT so idk why he is adding glucose (and some other things). I eat and head over to get bloodwork done so probably 30-60 minutes after I eat I have blood drawn.

It may vary from Dr to Dr, but my Dr always order a CBC and CMP with my 6 month hormone labs.
