will vitamin E pills?

i have bad acne scars and black spots on my chest and back. i'm using some lotion with E and other things in it. would taking e pills help also? doesn't seem like anything is making them go away. tried mederma was going through that like water and its not cheap at all for a small tube and didn'y do much to help..

i use lotion with vitamin E and it helps but tanning helps alot and use dawn!
