Could I have pulled an Intercostal muscle?

Is it possible to pull an intercostal (between the ribs) muscle?

very much so,i have done it several times. it feels very similar to a broken rib,only difference is with a broken rib the trauma is usualy and impact of some sort, the intercostal strain can happen with overuse.

I think I may have had the same thing happen to me last week. I was using the leg sled and tore something in my stomach/ribs area. It is still painful and and sensitive to touch. Does this sound like what happened to you?
