    Elbows

I read up on tendonitis vs. tendonosis, and i'm not sure if it's either but it seemed like what was described as tendonitis.

I hurt my elbows a little less than a week ago armwrestling when i was drunk. I gave my self a couple days off from the gym and when i went back i couldnt even complete my sets on bench b/c my elbows were killing.

After that i took a good three days off to rest it and had the same thing happen again, but this time was able to finish presses, but thats it. Each time it happens the tendons and surrounding muscle on my elbows feel like theyre gonna burst through my skin, but 45min-1hr later the pain goes away completely.

What do you guys think this is, just an injury or tendonitis? And how much time should i take off from doing upper body....10-14days?

    Thanks

id probaly take a couple weeks off from lifting upper body you can always train legs and do cardio it sounds like some type of tendon injury maybe a strain or something i did the same type of thing to my shoulder but it was better in 2 weeks...sounds like a strain or something to me maybe its swollen try some ice and band exercises

So true, I used to wake up in morning with elbows locked solid, hurt like hell to straighten the constant pain all day, 1 month of and I eliminated skullcrushers from my workout.

if you take a long period of time off (multiple months) from skulls, you'll eventually be able to return to them without pain

I had the same problem. I dont know if it was as bad as yours but it was late night to many bears and a 285 lb 6'4 friend any way i didnt win and my elbow hurt right after. I complained for a week just word through it at the gym. It went away after 2-3 weeks. Now NO ARM WRESTLING NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.

The two weeks off from upper body did the trick, haven't had any problems since. Thanks to everyone for all the advice...the hardest part was forcing myself to take the time of but its the only thing that heals the body
