    carpal tunnel surgery

Has anybody had surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome?
I had an emg done and the tests showed that I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my hands, bilateral cubital syndrome in my elbow, and nerve damage in my wrists, I will be seeing a surgeon in 4 days. The person who did my emg testing said to me I will need cortizone injections, or possibly surgery.
I was wondering if anybody could tell me if the surgery, or injections helped them, or made symptoms worse.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

i am not of fan of the cotisone, it just eats way at your ligaments and it doesnt fix the problem. there are different types of conservative treatments for CT these days, there is a wrist traction machine that i know has helped a few people, look into alternative nonsurgical treatments first, if they dont work, then get the surgery
