    sciatica

last night i was at work i was involved in bending over and back up again... but carrying minimal weight (1 or 2 bottles of water)

Anyway by the time i was done the job... whci htook about 20 minutes .... i could feel a numbness go down my right thigh.

Now i have read that this symptom seems to be like sciatica. (or something else)
what would i do? Should i go to a doctor? A chiropractor? Should i stop lifting (lower back work, at least) for now? i dont want to ...

stop lifting for a wk or 2, get you back adjusted by a chiro, or an osteopath, in 2- 4wk youshould feel better, unless it is hernaition, but i very much doubt you herniated a disc

If your leg hurts when you bend over, or when you touch you chin to your chest, you might have sciatica. I have it.
When i first got it snowboarding, then next day i couldn't bend over to tie my shoes, that is how bad it hurt. I had to lie down on a bed to tie my shoes... Through Physio therapy, chiropractic care, and my own personal stretching routienes, I would say that over 2 years I corrected the problem.
I couldn't get 80 pounds off of my chest when i first did it, thats how bad it hurt.

also i forgot to mention, you can lift lightly as long as it doent aggrevate the condition, if it causes pain, stop the movement altogether, dont try to push through the pain

ive had a HUGE problem with my sciatic nerve for a while now, makes normal everyday tasks, like sitting, sleeping, tieing shoes, sneezing, extremely painful.

fck the refferal, to see a chiro, you dont need a referal, to see a PT you need a referal. go straight to the chiro or ostopath of your choice
