Why not let the dark lord heal it for u?
Just kidding, man the first peirce was an injury and the dropping of a heavy weight could have either made it worse or caused another injury. Usually the signs of a major tear are visible bruising or color change in that area of the tear because the torn tendons or ligaments bleed alot and u can see it under the skin. That i for major tears, also there is a some loss in motion or extreme pain.

As for smaller tears it will just be pain with motion and swelling. And a sprain or light pull will feel much better the next day.

So i recommend if its in anyway painful or restricting in normal everyday activities u need to rush to the doctor, because if u leave a tear and it doesnt get fixed or healed properly then it will scar alot and u wont be able to fix it 100% on the long run. Go get checked bro.

If u have access to a sports specific or ortho doctor then thats even better because they are more understanding of how people who are in sports or athletes want to return to sports and be 100%.
Normal doctors know whats going on ofcourse and they will transfer u to the ortho if they think its serious, but in my personal experience normal doctors dont take injuries as seriously because they always think with the mentality that u are a person who doesnt play sports and u just need your body for everyday activities like using the toilet and driving the car, so they tend to be less serious about light/medium inujuries.
