separated ac joint in right shoulder

I have had a separated ac joint in my right shoulder for at least 6 months now. I believe I got it from going too heavy doing weighted dips and not listening to my shoulder doing bench press and shoulder press. I went to a surgeon after I got my xray done and he basically told me it was a slight separation probably 1cm and that I didn't need surgery. Basically, told me if it hurts don't do it.

I continued to workout but when it came to bench press and shoulder presses I went to dumbells using very light weight and started to focus more on higher reps. A few months later I was able to get the doc to give me some HGH because I wanted for my shoulder to heal faster and I have been on that for about 3 months now.

Things have gotten better and I do plenty of rotator cuff exercises but Im still not 100%. I feel more like 75% than anything and I have problems doing barbell bench press or shoulder press.

Should I just take a month off completely from everything or just keep doing what Im doing and let time take its place. I am actually considering going back to the doc and getting an mri done and see how bad it actually is. I really dont have much pain at all and I am trying to fit a cycle in but not when my shoulder is separated.

Anyone else have any experiences with this? If you have what have you done and how severe was it?

I have a very similar injury.

A type 1 irritation of my left acl ligament.

I had 2 cortisone shots a couple years after injuring it initially and I am doing TONS BETTER.

The best advice I can give you is rest and build your way up CAREFULLY AND SLOWLY. AVOID movements that cause pain or alter them so they dont hurt.

I found that incline bench hurts much less for me and I can now incline more than I can flat bench.

Test seemed to help my shoulder even MORE.

also use THERA BANDS to warmup with every workout, 3-4 sets of like 15-25 reps.

You can make a come back. if I did I know others can.

Yea I am keeping it light for SURE. I have noticed I am getting stronger but I am refraining from going heavy because the pressure bothers my shoulder. I also can't use barbells when it comes to doing bench press or shoulder press because of the fixed motion it gives me.

So as for now its strictly dumbells. I do try and throw in some barbells to get a better ROM and see how I am improving. I just didn't think it would take this long. Its been at least 7 months now and I have been on HGH for 3 months to help speed the healing process. I am also considering Aflutop to see how that helps.

My only concern now is that my shoulders seem to give out due to soreness before my pecs are exhausted when doing DB/BB bench. Today was more noticeable than usual for some reason. I had to Ice them immediately after lifting due to the soreness.

I will try GH when I can aford it more. I thought i would be able to soon but as it turned out, I cant.

Hopefully I will not react negatively to 192.

Aflutop I have never been able to get ahold of but heard good things.

Why 192? Are you not able to get ahold of 191?

192 will save me money if I can use it.

You are willing to take the risk with 192aa over 191aa because of $50 difference dollars per kit???

yup. Im a poor poor bastard.

  12. #12
I will test a small batch and go from there, its not a large risk actually.

I understand if you are poor...but you are also young like me and I would want to eliminate as many risks as possible even if it means spending a little more money.

I want GH for my tendon issues and have no desire to take high doses though.

I am thinking that I want to run it for as long as possible so if I can do that by using a different version, I will.

Yeah...you probably have to see if you get your desired results or not before you determine how long you want to take it for.

I know there are quite a few guys younger than us on here that use GH.

  16. #16
I just want to use it for my joints thats all.

  17. #17
That's right....i forgot you said that in an old thread.

I will be taking it for a few tendonosis issues(elbows and SI joint).
I believe I can eliminate the problem with GH.

Looks like we will be taking it for similar reasons at the same age eh.

24 is not to young to take GH IMO. It can easily be abused at any age
I believe I can eliminate the problem(because of the nature of it) with GH.

I swear I will start GH before the end of this year.

I will either go with Jin or saizen. big cost difference for sure.

We will have to keep in touch on our progress...(if I ever start ).

let me know if you find good prices too, we can compare and what not.

Yea I stopped my GH because of my gyno and I definitely feel it. It hasnt even been a week but Im sure the Letrozole at 2.5mg everyday is also making the tendonitis in my right elbow worse. By now its probably tendonosis.

So skullcrasher you had a separated ac joint too? Did you do any specific exercises to try and get the joint tighter? I dont really have a lot of pain as I used to and I do plenty of rotator cuff exercises before I do my shoulders and also before I do chest but I still feel that the separation is there. I want to get an MRI done this time to see how bad it really is but shit is expensive.

I had an xray done, my ac joint was pressing too closely to my clavical ( there was not enough space between my clavical and ac joint) basically. I have done rotator exercises with a thera band and 2 cortisone shots in it.

I am not sure whats going on right now but, my shoulders have been givin out more easily when lifting, ever since my deca kicked in, weird. Definatley less pain with the deca but actually lifting decent weights causes that to happen. i am taking a week off as of yesterday and doing nothin gbut therea band exercises for each BP this week.

Yea right now my elbow and my shoulder is bothering me in my right now and I also got gyno from being on TRT. I am going to take at least 2 weeks for because I have been taking it easy on my shoulder for 6 months now and I can tell its still separated and not getting that much better. I think its best to lay off completely and let my whole body recover.
