tanning to decrease acne

everyone knows that direct sunlight dries out zits
but does the same apply for tanning beds?

Technically with the exposure of the UV light under those lamps you would have a sterilizing effect killing bacteria. But technically UV light also has a mutagenic effect on your skin cells. My skin complection always improves when im tanning. I dont use any oils or lotions either.
