Could be a number of things bro...tendonitis is common in the shoulder. Labral tears....I know you said that you can't afford the chiro right now, but if its that big of a problem I would go and let them tell you what's wrong, in many cases they can get you back to normal really quickly. I know that from experience.

you dont need a chiro, he wouldnt know squat. From my experience, they are all vertibrae, spine, some neck. Go straight to a physical therapist, and ask for a rotator cuff evaluation, and what he feels should be done. Alot of the tests they can perform can somewhat detect the extent of the injury to the rotator cuff, which is what it is(99% sure). The arm extending behind the back, and up the middle is a HUGE indicator of a rotator cuff tear. Or you can have an MRI done, but that is quite a bit of money without health insurance.

And what exactly is your experience?? Chiros are trained equally as well in the extremities. My Chiro has accurately diagnosed my injuries far better than even medical doctors thus far. Believe me, I know what Chiros do and don't know because I am a chiropractic student right now... after 7 years and 400 credit hours, I hope to know a little something about extremeties...

i am a chiro so let me give you a piece of my mind since you chose to slander what i do for a living

1 you dont know how to spell vertebrae so who would take advice from you

2 PT and chiro"s can do the same things, we can diagnose rotator cuff problems and prescribe therapy, i do it every day, read the stickies i wrote at the top of the forum and than i dare you to tell me i dont know squat about this subject

3 if you come back with some smart ass comment, just trying to get me pissed off, i promise your stay on this board will be a short one
