    Question pec injury

    i was flat benching today with 355 and when i was on my second rep i felt a popping in my upper left pec and now it hurts like hell ant little movement i do it did not turn black n blue by looking at it you cant tell what could that be and what should i do to help heal it and how long should i wait to work chest

    could be just a sever stran, ice it 20 min every 2 hours, motrin 800mg 2-3 times a day, rest and if you choose to workout do exercise that put no strain on the pec, try to press in 2 wk, start witht he bar only and take it easy and figure out where you are, i wouldnt go hevy for at least 8 wks or more depending on how serious the injury is.

    the worst thing of all is that a few months ago the same thing happened to my right pec and it was now just starting to feel better so i wanted to test it by going heavy i warmed up properly after warm ups i went 315x3 335x2 355x2 i used to power lift years ago too and never had chest injurys iam only 27 yrs old what can i do to prevent this i dont know why its happening all of sudden
