    blood after bowel movments

Ive been having blood after going to the toilet for a shit. It happens everytime which is around 2-3 times daily, ive been to the doctors one but he just gave me some cream and fibre and said it was piles without even checking. It is a bright colour red so im guessing that it is either tears or piles but i think it is the first i normally find blood on the tissue or sometimes it will even drip. Its been going on for around 6 months any ideas on how to stop this. thanks

dude this is either hemorrhoids or something really really serious. Go get it checked. You might have IBD, and it might be related to your joint pains. NO KIDDING BRO. Drink a lot of water. Are you constipated? What's going on man?

when my diet changes, or i start a new supplement the frequency of bowel movements increases

therefore i need to clean up more frequently...the cleaning process takes a toll on my behind and eventually i get a bit of blood from constant wiping and irritating. i dont worry about it as its infrequent

if the blood is from within i would look into it

    boxer,

i have had both hemorrhoids and bleeding ulcers.....the skinny given to me was: 1) if it is bright red it is piles, or can even be a slight tear in the sphincter muscle....especially if you are straining during a) your workout; or b) your bowel movement...or 2) if your feces is black and smells really bad (and trust me you will totally know the difference if, God forbid, you ever have a bleeding ulcer) it is from internal bleeding ...either the stomach or colon.

the piles were from straining during a workout and a second case from operating heavy equipment on a hillside where i was leaning heavy on the brakes the whole damn project....was fortunate enough to be dating a nurse so i got (embarassingly) a direct exam....
ease up on your workouts...go light weights, lotta reps until they subside....or you can have them cut out which i never opted to do.

but those are just the two experiences i have had....think maxex has the right idea regarding a second opinion....

Okay Boxer it seems like your problems I am relating to here.

Not me but my brother in law was having the same stuff you just described. He had hemorrhoids and bleeding ulcers like whitowl stated. He just had surgery last week for fisure tears on his sphincter. Altough he does not lift he had them anyway but he had the surgery nonetheless because of the tears.

    whitowls explanation was spot on.

Yes, IBD is irritable bowel disease. I revise what I said earlier because it's probably very unlikely. You would know if you were that sick. I wanted to state it just for the record. But a bleeding ulcer is very possible, and something that needs to be looked at.

if constipation is an issue get Colon Cleanse....it is a powder and a tablespoon each evening will definitely move matters through without strain....it calls for two tbs but one was plenty...if you are interested PM me and i'll get it from the pantry and give you the website and product number....after i got myself regular with it it was not necessary anymore....odd but after years of constipation as an issue it just stopped being a problem after about 6 months of every other day use.

I have some fybogel - will that be good to take?

Not being an ass but the colon cleanse I think is a bad idea. It is basically an herbal laxitive. It also cleanses your body of much needed digestive bacteria in your GI tract and basically just flushes everything through. Sticking with something with good fiber such as your fybogel will make everything pass softly like it should.

I have used colon cleanse and all I got from it was plenty of reading time in on the toilet. I thought that was good at first until I told my doctor and she advised me against anything colon cleanesing due to what I stated above.

That is like all of these people getting coffee enimas it is robbing their bodies of the natural enzymes they need to pass stool in a comfortable manner.

LOL, I know we are bording on talking about something gross here but hey This is a part of it I guess. Whitowl I guess you have had some great results with colon cleanse. I would further guess that your diet is better than most of us in the first place as well. LOL.

    hey M8,

the active ingredients are 1) psyllium husk powder; 2) senna powder; 3) fennel seed, 4) rose hips, 5) papaya, 6) buckthorn bark....recommended dosage is 2 teaspoons per day....manufactured by Healtt Plus Inc ...Product # 9283 121B6....listed as "Good Source of Fibre".....it'll make it easier on you if the blood is from piles or tears.....

Say my diet is fairly normal ....maybe better to heed MadMac....seems to have a medical opinion from his doc.....mine left me full of pain meds after surgery so i resorted to my own methods.....
