Plantar Fasciitis
it's killing me. I play a lot of bball and absolutely suck when i'm feeling the effects of plantar fasciitis. When there is no pain I'm extremely quick and fleet footed and can guard anybody. Days when the pain flares up fat people blow by me because I'm so slow. Has anyone successfully healed their plantar fasciitis? I have already gotten a cortizone shot and ordered custom orthotics but more tips to cure this pain in the ass is really appreciated.

I use to have it and my doctor suggested surgery. I asked my dad and he said not to do it. He had the surgery and his feet have continued to hurt ever since. I was prescribed something and it went away. I cant remember what it was, but it worked. Good luck man, I know it sucks.

Your going to have to rest it some, plus get some dickeys cups and fill them with water and freeze them. After you workout or at night ice for 20 or so minutes. Rub the cups of ice on the area pilling back the cup slightly so that you can still hold onto the ice cup. The action of the ice coupled with the rubbing motion will help quite a bit. This is also a very good way to treat shine splints. Just rub in circular motions.
