Nizoral usuage

Ive done a few searches on nizoral and find alot of praise from members as well as studies for it.

however, i can't seem to find any information on how to use it properly for acne.

Do u simply lather this product up a bit with some water onto ur damp or wet face, massage and rub it in for a good 20-30 seconds, and wash it off like any other cleanser?

Or is it used somewhat like a face mask, as in rubbing it into dry skin, leaving it on for a few minutes, then washing it off?

Some other concerns i have are regarding long term usuage and frequency. Is it ok to use this item once or twice a day for months on end? could i develope somekind of dermatitis or other skin condition from it?

U use it every 2 days. Rub it in your skin for 20-30 seconds than rinse.

I have found it makes my dandruff problem ALOT worse when I take it. Possibly because of the reduced sebum secretion due to the DHT-blocking effects of the Nizoral. It may make your skin dryer than usual. Keep in mind Nizoral is mainly made for use on the scalp, though it does work elsewhere.

I like to keep it in my hair for about 2 or 3 minutes in the shower before I wash it out.

You have to let it stay on the skin for a few mins (they say about 3-4, but IMO 2 minutes is enough) before washing it , as is written in the directions for use of the product.

You've probably read my log lower in this area but I found that if you are patient and persistant with it that you will get results by simply using your hands and scrubbing lightly for about 20 seconds and then rinsing. Use it everyday as long as your skin doesn't get too dry and wash lightly. None of this scrudding with wash clothes crap. It's not a soap (well, I guess it is) it is a medication. Don't need to dig it in there. Patients is key though. You will not see immediate results.

Yup, it's OTC over here. Easy to get. Go to shoppers drug mart or walmart.

If you're in the states, just order it from a Canadian online store or something.
