The triceps are a primary muscle group involved in most pressing exercises.
what are you doing for a chest workout?
try to mix it up abit but todays session involved..( in order )
3rd set i always push to failure...
3 x 10 wide grip decline pressups
3 x 6/8 incline barbell superset with 3 x 6/8 variant incline flys
3 x 6/8 decline barbell chest press
3 x 6/8 flat bench supinating flyes
4 x 6/8....... ( 4th set i half weight nd do as many as i can...) flat bench press barbell
3 x 6/8 close grip flat bench press barbel
that's as much a tri workout as it is chest. anything that brings your arm from bent to straight uses tri.
righteo ill just make sure i give it a few days before doing my triceps!
any chest exercises that concentrate mainly on the chest area?
flies and pec deck are two that isolate chest well, just picture any movement where your arms remain in a fixed position and the chest is doing most of the work. I usually combine chest/tri then on another day combine back/bi, because many movements share those groups in that fashion.
true, I think it's good to "keep the muscles guessing" so to speak, nothing wrong with mixing things up.
If your chest is responding well, I'd just wait longer before doing your tricep workout, but 16 press exercises seems a little over the top, you could get rid of one of them and do an isolation exercise, such as pec dec or cable crossovers.
i usually do but all the machines were being used nd i hate waiting about !!
lol i almost screamed for help on my close grip bench press at the end... i only just managed to get the bar back on the rack..
coulda ended in tears...
