Not recently, but yes I incorporate them in my arms just not this week, but it seems after I did my arm workout the other day kicked it off. I have now been out of the 2 going on 3 days, this sucks. Feels a little better but not much.

I had my forearms hurt real bad before after training Biceps. I was hitting bi's pretty hard with the easy curl bar. The pain got worse as the day went on but eventually it went away, took a few days though. I'd say just take it easy for a bit.

Cool deal man thanks. I have gotten bad pain where the biceps and forearms meet before but that went away pretty quick. Yeah I did alot of straight bar too and heavy on preacher curls. Yeah I will take it easy... thanks

Feels alot better thanks, it was mostly the entire length of my forearm, but the most tender was upper outter forearm about 3-4 inchs from the elbow right where I have a big seperation in my forearm muscles.

    crapity crap crap crap...

It's back and it changed spots, its more towards my wrists especially on the right arm.

I get shin splints easy and it feels EXACTLY like that.

This blows, its killing my workouts worrying about pain.

I feel it doing any chest, bis, most shoulders, and just about anything arm related except tris.

I have been in this situation and it fvcking sucks. When your curling it hurts bad but when you release the weight, it STINGS. Try to release very very slowly. I had to go to phyiscal therapy because it got so bad. The doctors came to the conclusion that my biceps were too big/strong for my forearms and it was causing a lot of stress on them. At this point, I didn't do any forearm exersizes, deadlifts. My forearms were a joke and this lead to me being out of the gym for about 8 weeks, all upper body lifts were shot. My best advice to you is just stick to two or 3 sets of preachers curls for your bi's and release very slowly. Doesn't sound like it's too late. Go very light, you don't wanna screw yourself up like I did.

Thanks man, yeah I started doing the slow release a few weeks ago. If I do curls I set the bar back on the rack still holding it and slowly let go it helps with the sting thats for sure.

Yeah I will do that man, my forearms are pretty strong looking.

Being on TRT can have any effect on this?

Sounds like a tendent injury if it continues do legs for a week and have a full rest with upper body then dont do arms until the end of the next week to give it time to recover its about 10-14 days rest for a mild tendent injury to recover

    I have that exact problem.
iv tried explaining it to people that it feels just like shin splints, but in the forearm.
It only occurs when i do biceps and boxing.
I really dont know what to do?

Finally someone I can relate with. I have been dealing with this problem for months. I cant release anything after curling it w/o shooting pains through my right forearm. Its defintely from your biceps growing way to fast compared to forearm. My chiropractor said it could even be the tendon pulling at the bone, which could lead to damage to the bone. It sucks! If anyone knows how to rehab this injury let me know! releasing it slowly helps a bit, but I just want it to go away.

I know its kind of an older thread but its happened to me as well, not any more tho.. Do you do any straight bar curls? When I cut those out it helped a lot. Every now and again Ill get it when I do heavy EZ bar curls, but thats it

I still get it sometimes, but I feel the strain into my elbow even when I do shoulders but that might be a seperate thing.

I have no carpal tunnel going on, hopefully not all related.

I've been dealing with a similar pain myself. The inside of my right elbow is in pain. I've been hitting it with SportsCream and it seems to be helping a bit. It hurts when I finish my arm workout the most and I'm thinking of taking a week or so off of doing arms to see if it helps any. I just hate to do it now as I just finished my first cycle and I'm a week and a half away form PCT so I don't want to start losing gains this early.

Sounds to me like Tendonitis. Same thing happened to me when I was cycling and took some antibiotics. If it is tendonitis, then your tendons are being strained a lot because you're lifting heavy weights and they're lacking compared to your actual muscles.

Tendonitis usually goes away after a while, but you can't DO extremely heavy weights, this will just make it worse...you need to take it easy for a while and eventually things will improve.

    Sucks I know...

It is strange but if you're forearms are hurting it may be your elbow or your bicept tendon......Go get it checked just to be sure.....

I actually registered here to ask about this and now see I'm not the only one with the issue by a long shot I suppose.......

Does ice help at all? It hit me almost at the end of my last run and now even off I can hardly work out arms hard it hurts so damn bad. I do pipeline work as well which makes it even more fun because I make that motion repeatedly all day long and it's KILLING me.

i have the pain when releasing the weight also but it is at the back of the elbow, it suck when you cant perform they way you want because of this type of injury. My pain is all around the elbow the back side and in the middle, where the bi meets the forearm and where the elbow meets the tri, it sucks .

    Good luck

I found that skullcrushers were killing my elbows. I quit doing them and the pain is gone. EZ curl bar hurts my forearms pretty bad, changed over to straight bar and that has helped. I don't know why, usually it is the other way around.

    Hey guys
Just wondering about the recoveries and getting back to training again ???? I have the same pain going on in my forearms right now and its really bringing me down! This has happen to me in the past and I stopped lifting weights because my Doctor just said to stop for at least a month. After stopping for a month the pain went away but trainning again the pain would just come right back! I have visited multiple doctors and I just keep getting the brush off and told to stop the weight lifting.
How do I get past this , am I broken?

I was searching around the forums and came across this thread. I have what I beleive is the same exact problem. It seems that anytime I hold any weight with my palms facing up like curling, I feel a pain in my forearms and then releasing is even more painful. Even when spotting I get the same pain.

This pic points out where I get the pain:
    http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/5724/photo2k.jpg

Is this around the area that others are experiencing and if so how did you relieve it.

I went back to training thats for sure. Slow release of the pain helps with immediate pain, but I just took it easy when out of the gym. Lots of rest, joint supplement and ICY/HOT

Same problem here and it's getting worse. Last night I finally gave in after I had to leave the gym early because my right forearm hurt so bad. I rotated 15 min. ice then 15 min. heat for an hour. When I had severe muscle pain during marathon training this seemed to help flush the latic acid. I have been doing reverse curls and hammer curls for forearm workouts but I guess thats not enough. I know I haven't been doing enough forearm exercises.
