Question WTF is with my elbow??? (( Problem Solved!! ))

I've had a sore elbow for a couple of weeks now, have been going thru a prime. This week is back to normal. Tonight was shoulder day and elbow was very sore & hindered my shoulder workout. When I was done, I grabbed the curl bar & on the first rep I heard about 3 pops ( like cracking/poping your nuckles ) and wamm, Feels great, now the soreness is 90% gone???
What the hell is going on???? Any Ideas???

possible tendonitis... possibly exercise injury related to poor form, little recover time

Sounds like an adhesion broke lose. Probably caused by trying to use too much weight, over-training or using exercises that do not agree with you. Active Release Therapy is known for providing similar relief you just experienced.

Well I did a google search on "Active Release Therapy" and I definetly have an issue that needs to be addressed. Weather I worked my back to hard or possible those 55lb bateries I lift out of boats with my one arm due to tight space, I've got tendinitus.
I hope I'm not out for to long but I guess the only thing I can work out for a while is my legs, as they need it.
Thanks for the reply's Ronnie & eatrainrest. I'll post what I find out so others can learn from my mistake!

I went to the Dr 2 weeks ago said to lay off the weights & take 2400mg of ibuprofen a day for 10 days to see if that would clear up the area, Said it wasn't aparent that I had an inflamed tendon or tendonitis.
Yesterday I didn't work out but lifted light weights with various exercises to see how it felt, Chest was good, Pull ups were good, regular curls were good until I tried a zotman curl with 15 db & on the down stroke I felt the pain in the arm, hadn't changed one bit for the better!
I guess I'll go in tomorrow & find out what to do next to get back to normal.
He was leaning twards an mri if the meds didn't work.
    DAM!!!!
I'm gonna do chest tomorow as usual unless I feel stress in the area. Not work'n out is kill'n me!! My Legs are sore as hell tho!!

I worked out my chest with great results no discomfort at all. I havve gotten myself some lifting hooks & these things are great! No problem with shrugs pull ups & back exercises. Just staying away from movements that agravate the area.

Went to a sports med Dr. yesterday & said possibly could be tennis elbow, took X-rays & gave me a steroid shot in the elbow. Will have a follow up visit in 3 weeks, if not better, will go in for therepy where they use an ultrasound device to work the area.

That shot started to hurt last night, all night long & lost strenght & flexability by this morning!! I have to call him back this morning to see if thats normal cus now this will effect my job.
I'm ice'n right now to try to make it feel better.
I hate learning things the hard way, like a DAM FOOL!!!

The most learned lesson so far is Drop the EGO, drop the wieght & use PERFECT FORM!
I should have to write this 1000 times!!!

Usually when I have tennis elbow, it hurts to even pick up a glass of water. I'm surprised that if he suspected you have tennis elbow, he didn't recommend you purchase a tennis elbow brace. They are fairly inexpensive. They have a pad that puts pressure on the affected tendon. It gave me a good bit of relief. As far as the cortisone shots, they usually only provide me with about an hours worth of pain relief. Supposedly they decrease the amount of healing time....and I'm guessing that since they have a reputation to kind of dry out the joints they help get rid of the excess fluid buildup...but that's just a guess.

Well Therepy is going well. Dr. was able to pinpoint the exact location! YEAHH!!!! This would be Tennis Elbow,, He found a tendon that was damaged & was not healing correctly. He is using some sort of ultrasound device to heat/inflame the area & then deep tissue rub trying to break down the formed scar tissue that is blocking the healing process.
I'm 3 visits in it so far ( @ $50 a pop ) & starting to feel much better. Hopefully I only need 3 or 4 more visits, I'm going in twice a week to expadite healing so I can get back to lifting, witch I have completly stoped during therepy, plus I'm moving & I tore down my Smith so I wouldn't be tempted!!
I'm just so happy it's finally getting better!!
