    heart failure at 33?

I went into the hospital the other day with shortness of breath and wheezing. After a CAT scan an echocardiogram and several EKG's they say my heart is enlarged and only pumping at 50% capacity. One valve is distorted and leaking in the lower left ventricle.
So what caused this?? The HGH?

Hard to say but there are congenital defects that can cause valve problems. Athletes can be prone to pathological left ventricle hypertrophy although some cardiologist would say any enlargement of the the Left ventricle is pathological. It is relatively rare for an active fit individual to have LVH problems.

I am sure your cardiologist will explore the reason further with you as to why this has happened. In all honesty he is really the only one qualified to answer your questions.
