    Severe pain in my forearm

Whenever I train biceps I experience a sever pain of my bone/tendens in my forearm. It is a similar pain to shin splints in the leg. After releasing the weight I experience the most pain.
is this a common injury in bodybuilding? Does anybody know the best solution to this problem?

    Try releasing the bar slowly.

i have experienced this problem before in my forearm due to heavy weight so my suggestion would be lower the weight.

yeah im currently dealing with them as well (it seems to have set in from me not going up in weight slow enough on hammer curls and other exercises of the sort)

I don't use EZ curl bars, period. I have noticed them pop up with military press (machine) so I limit my weight sometimes.

I had another thread with the same issue.

That happened to me for about the first 6 months I lifted weights. It eventually stopped. Are you relatively new to the sport?

EZ-bar curls are bad for this? I did not know that, do you suggest straight bar curls?

This happens to me as well.

Straight bar curls cause the most pain, since it puts the most pressure on that particular area on the forearms.

I switched to DBs for all bicep exercises and I was fine for a number of years, but as the weight increased, the pain came back. I'm now finding I'm stuck where I'm at with the weight because any heavier the pain gets too severe.

One person suggested to lighten the grip, that I'm possibly squeezing the bar too much as I lift? Worth trying...

Other than that, lowering the weight a bit and slowing the movement seems to be the only way to continue.

Same thing happens to of. Little finger side. About 3/4 way up forearm. Kills to do bicep curls. Dumbell or barbell. Hurts even worse to let go of bar. . . I reduced weight. And bandage forearm tight on each set. It helps a bit. The doc dont know what the problem him self. Lol.

I tied this exercise for hammer curls and it helped ease the pain, i am also cycling the S4 so that's maybe helping.
