    athritis and aas

I have recently been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. Basically my bone marrow is swelling and my bones around my Si joints are deteriating. I have tried somatropin and test cyp to see if it would bring relief. while it did bring some relief it was only temporary. I am currently taking calcuim, msm, chondroiton, glucosamine, multi vitamins, ***** oils. I am at the gym 5 days a week and am able to do most upper body exercises. Lower body brings some challenges and I am quite limited there. Does anyone know of a steroid compound that will help rebuild or thicken bone mass? I have used deca. sust. eq. anadrol. d-bols. test cyp and somatropin before. Is there a good compound for my arthritic condition?
    thanks.

HGH is more likely to make your condition worse rather then better. The literature just doesn't support his opinion on the subject. Unless you have a pre-existing growth hormone deficency.

You need to look into corticosteroid injections at this point.

It's tough to say for sure it will make your condition worse...what I do know is there is zero evidence to say it will make your condition better.

They give kids HGH who have rhumatoid artritis together with stunted growth. They have some relief of their symptoms. A lot of doctors try to stretch the indication to adults, and the gh companies are pushing it.

The reason I say it might make you worse is if it were so great for your joints...you wouldn't expect nearly everyone who has acro-megaly to develop arthritis. But, that's what happens in people who overproduce GH. In fact the type of artritis they get closely resembles ankylosing spodylitis.

Although, it isn't the same, and I'm not saying GH causes ankylosis spodylitis. Just that GH is unlikely to help and could possibly progress your condition even though there is no real evidence one way on the other. Unless he shows you a study I'm unaware of.

You should maybe stay on NSAIDs even if they aren't helping the pain, cause they might slow down the progression.

Does your doc expect your SI joints to fuse eventually? that should stop the pain but in your case, is it going to spread to other regions on the spine?

I'm suprized the steroid injections didn't work, you might want to give that another try, they might have missed the joint.

Keep seeing docs and maybe someone has something new. If it's bad enough you want to try the HGH, go for it. It's just my opinion it won't work.

Kratos you are ver helpful. Much appreciated! I have seen the docs and my bones have not fused yet which is wierd for having this condition for nearly 9 years. I have been excersizing regularly which is helping tremendously. I have been running low doses of enth as of recently with no problems. actually I have never felt better! The docs told me nsaids wont slow prgression but merely mask pain. Apparently movement and excersize are my best prevention. I really appreciate the info on the hgh though..saved me a lot of time Pain and money. Cheers!
