    Anyone suffer from acid reflux?

The past week I haven't been feeling well at all. I have had chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea and I haven't been eating much. On Monday I could not focus at work and felt ill so I decided to go to the hospital and sit in the ER struggling to breath for 6 hours. The doctors gave me a cardiogram to check my heart and blood pressure and checked my lungs and told me everything was normal.

Today I went to my normal doctor and he checked me out and said my heart and lungs are fine and he thinks its acid reflux. He gave me some pantoprazole to take for a couple weeks to see what happens.

Has anyone here had or have acid reflux? Do your symptoms include chest pain (I think I’m having a heart attack pain), trouble breathing, nausea or feel light headed?

    Thanks

i had really bad acid reflux for a long time. every day i would force myself to pound down eggs and protein shakes and all sorts of other things that only made it worse. I was on prilosec for a long time. I stopped taking it and decided to look at my diet and see what it was that made it worst. I slowly took those food out of my diet and kept it like that for a short period of time. Once my symtoms were at their lowest point, i slowly introduced some of those foods back. It has worked very well, my acid reflux only gives me trouble occasionally now.

As for chest pain, not really. Breathing, light headedness? not so much. i did feel a bit nauseaus though, and it made me have to spit a lot for some reason.

Father had acid reflux for years i think there is an operation for this or something. Anyways looking into your diet at this point is the best thing, also try fasting a bit, eat less and drink more water.

No acid reflux for me but during the holidays i had terrible stomach pains, each time i would eat it was awful, i felt like inflamation in my intestin and gut.

I was lucky because by that time i stumble on a program called Eat stop eat by Brad Pilon, i also needed to lose weight.

I have been doing Eat stop eat for about 4 months now and have lost around 15 pounds, i try to fast twice a week for 24h each time and try to be fasted at least 12 hours or more a day.

All my problems are gone now. Cut caffeine and anything that might stimulate acid reflux, protein for starters, reseach foods that are very acid too. Drink plenty of water and get on a clearning progam that might help too.

avoiding spicy foods, not smoking, not drinking coffee should all help. I took an acid reflux pill daily for a cpl yrs, now I only take one when I am at a party or something and don't want to be rude so eat some spicy food if there isn't much else available.
