    Waxed chest aftermath

I got my chest waxed for the first time Friday afternoon, (it's now Monday). It seems to have irritated my skin, i have sensitive skin usually. Where some of the hairs were pulled out, has filled with puss.

So i have red dots (not just the red dots you would expect from a hair being pulled out) mainly on my upper chest. She suggested to only wear cotton tshirts for a few days, shower in luke warm water and use a weak soap and lufer lightly.

Has anyone had a similar problem or know what type of cream, ointment may help remove my problem?

    Thanks

I used to get mine waxed before vacations and had a day or so that was pretty red but never puss. Careful what you put on your chest some creams or oils could actually make it worse.

Use hair clippers next time, then a Mach-3 afterwards. You will be g2g.

Man just trim that shit waxing just sucks or get laser removal done (start saving). For now get some Clean and Clear anti bacterial face wash to wash your chest with while in the shower. Right before you get out rinse it with cold water and dry gently. You will heal up in no time.

nair smells like ass! and yeah i get that puss sometimes in the pores. I used to get it every time i shaved my chest but now not so much, but i did switch over to just using the beard trimmer.

I hate to admit it, but I use a 5 blade Venus womans razor. The angle of the blade is much flatter than that aimed at the curves of a mans face.

Just use soap in the shower.

I heavily soap the area, then do a slow pass with very little pressure.

My wife owns an organic lotion company and it is the highest quality stuff I've ever laid my hands on. Sure its a womans brand but it leaves the skin flawless and its super hypoallergenic for sensitive skin

If anyone feels like using womans lotion ill leave a link

hahahahaha I did that last time and my nipples actually bleed. I had scabs on them for a week

I had my back waxed before vacation last month. (I'm not hairy, only very minimal and peach fuzz) but I didnt go straight home to shower and they did not clean it good enough because 2 days later my back looked like a 14 yr old teenage after Halloween or someone on a serious cycle. LOL

I was embarrassed to take a shower at the gym knowing people would think I was doing a cycle.

IF I do that again I will definitely go STRAIGHT home and scrub my back in the shower.

I first had my chest waxed when I was 18 after I had been working out a couple of years. I had a similar experience to you, in fact it was probably worse.

All the thinner skin over my chest developed in grown hairs after several days, the whole area became sore and tender. Spots and soreness everywhere, I was just horrified in general. My abdomen was okay, it seemed like the thicker skin over that part made it withstand more.

Over the next couple of years I came across two solutions:
    1. Get a tan, it prevents all that soreness and ingrown hairs from shaving/waxing.
    2. Trim with clippers.

I've had laser hair removal on my shoulders, but I had to lose all my tan first before they would do it. It took 5 sessions each costing around £100 with a few months in between each session. I didn't want to get my chest done, one day I might like a bit of hair there.

Overall I would just stay away from waxing, its a complete PITA; expensive, painful, time consuming, it stinks more than nair and the t-shirt you go to have it done in will probably be ruined when you come out as it will be covered in clumps of wax. By far tan and shave the best way.

I just shave with a blade and at the start it use to get pretty red at times but I have gotten better at it and hardly get red spots anymore. I shave mine about every 4 weeks.

Get it sugared next time. Otherwise, use the nair and avoid the nipples.

I strongly recommend that you never wax again (talking from personal experience). Trust me you do not need this torture on your skin since it's sensitive. Either use laser removal or just shave it. Also, NEVER, absolutely NEVER wax during PCT (in case you are juicing)

I like to have minimal hair on my body it just feels cleaner. I use clippers on my legs and arm pitts. I shave my chest and arms and my wife can do my back quick, I have barely any hair on my back anyways but I like to to be clean.

I find it funny that everyone who says this is gay has a hairless chest in their avatar???? IDK maybe its just me..... Anyway I get really bad razor burn everywhere so I use the hair clippers to get it short then I use Nair for men and it works for me. Its not perfect but ZERO irritation and zero pain.

I trim down, but I'm not going bald on my body. I like being and looking like a man. I don't walk around in wrestling trunks or pose on stage. I work with big oilfield boys who crack drill pipe for a living.....I am not taking my shirt off in the summer looking like a gay porn fluffer. I'll keep my dignity thanks.
