pomade for hair

i was looking for something that holds medium long hair but not a gel or a cream looking for something that gives my hair a natural look,not greasy,shiny etc and at the same time hold it all day long,any products u guy reccomend?

Before all the gels came out there was only one product that was on the market and that was hairspray and that gave you the natural look

i would think pomade would make hair greasy/slick as it is very dense and greasy itself like p-jelly

Yes just spray it on then style or blow dry your hair the way you wont it then spray

i love this $7 stuff by garnier called "Surf Hair", it give you a Thick, Matte dry look that is "peicey". you should work in about a dime size plop in you hand and, rub them together and mess fingers vigurously through your hair. I like to keep the globs on the small side and do about 2 to 4 runs through my hair before i start isolating small sectionf for finishing touches. if you use too much you will get the gelly look...no bueno. as always, use a very light aresol type of hair spray to finsih. "Zero G" spelled "0G" on the bottle works quite well and is avail at most large chain pharmacy type stores. Now go get that *****.

Crew pomade is pretty good.
I prefer to use Murrays though, if you don't use a ton it doesn't give the greasy look. But if you like washing your hair every day its probably a bad choice.

My barbershop uses High Life, too pricey for me, but its a good hold, washes out with just water and never looks greasy.

before i started shaving my head, i used pomade. i liked the "shiny" look, so i used gel more often, but pomade definitely did everything you mentioned.
