    Treatment for achilies tendon

Anybody know of any good treatment for achillies tendon.

I have had pain in my right achillies tendon for 3 years.Yes, 3 years.

Done nearly everything to heal it.Physio, podiatry, sports specialists, acupuncture, prolotherpy, platelet therapy, nsaids, stretching, its just so annoying.

My last to options are corticosteroids, but will ruin the tendon long term and surgery.

Anyone got any good tips/treatments to heal the tendon?

Im on my feet most time aswell

If you have tried all of that including the prolo and PRP injections then you are probably looking at surgery. No need getting a corticosteroid injection as none of the other injections seemed to improve the condition. With your chronic tendinosis they will probably just remove the degenerative portion of the tendon. Have you tried doing strict eccentric loading of the tendon (at least 12 weeks) in your physiotherapy?
