    torn pec

hi, i was benching quite heavy but a weight im comfortable wth 140kg for 10 reps. on my second set i felt my right pec sink in and tear. i went to the hospital and when i took my top off i saw a blob of trapped blood and fluidnear the armpit area and really bad bruising and swelling around my front delt bicep and upper pec. the doc said it was a bad tear but i have to wait for a mri scan. do you guys think it has detached from a tendon or just a tear and how long before i can lift heavy?
    thanks alot

has anyone suffered a similar injury? the pain isnt as bad but its really stiff and tight and have pretty much no range of motion in that area. bruising is severe, really dark and my pec and bicep and armpit area is still really swollen -
    any thoughts?

Wait for the scan man, get the Operation Asap if needed, that is all you can do for now.

im no expert but you definitely wont be lifting heavy for a while, if the tendon is torn my guess is 1/2 yr to a full yr but the doctors should tell you. if its just a major tear you're still going to be down for a while but maybe lifting light after 4-5 mo's

let us know what the doc says
