Unhappy Crushed tricep - Would synthol help!

Guys - Had an accident where my upper arm got crushed badly.Lucky not to permanently lose all use in it actually . Its been 8 weeks now and i have had plenty of physio, dry needling ,massage etc. its alot better considering how bad it was but i am left with a section of crushed muscle in the long head of my tricep in effect splitting it in to two pieces about 2/3rds down towards my elbow. Its hard to see when its relaxed but under load its very visible.its like a 1/2 inch copper pipe has been pushed hard into it and left the dent.

Now in about 4 weeks i think i will be at the end of the effectiveness of the physio and i am considering my options. Any synthol users give me any advice as to whether trying to inject into this area would be of any use. What would happen if i miss the muscle and inject under the skin etc. etc etc.

    Many thanks

Turk (very pissed off one at that !!!)

If this is what you are looking for then go for it.

If not you might want to let it heal properly.

Not exactly !! The crushed area is causing a great loss in strength where it is impossible to use dumbells/ barbells for pressing as the lift is so one sided . The arm may heal but unless the crushed area recovers then this strength imbalance will remain. If you read what i have posted then once my physio can do no more after 14weeks of mother natures healing ask yourself "what would you do !" im 48 years old 272lbs at 15% competed in my twenties and have never even considered synthol but to try to inflate the area ? .I dont know . Its been very depressing the last few months as i hope you could imagine and i was hoping to compete again in the over 50s so just looking for something that could help which may not actually be there!

I hear you but I dont think the synthol will do much except for looks. I would look into HGH for repair if anything. Either way it will take some time to get it back to normal.

I know I know just clutching at straws. I started 5 ius per day of saizen 6 weeks ago and it has definately helped in maintaining my size etc whilst i am training at far less than 100%. Its the first time on pharma grade rather than generics and off topic i know but its far far better than the chinese stuff so hopefully it is helping even if i am not seeing it as such . ive been off aas for 16 weeks now except my 150mg trt so just looking forward now to the new year ,hopefully with a fully functioning arm and a boat load of test!!! Many thanks for your time my friend.

    Regards.

It sounds like you got your answer about the synthol.....that's gonna do nothing for recovery, it would be strictly aesthetic. From the sounds of it, you're probably gonna need surgery. One of my buddies was about 3 weeks out from a show and got into a bad car accident, and his arm got pinned between a bunch of metal, and one of the injuries he sustained was a ruptured tricep tendon. He was in a sling for a little while, until he was able to get a decent range of motion again. He was out like 3-4 months, if I remember right. I hope it all works out for you

This is 100% my opinion, and I could be wrong or right nobody knows.

But anyway, if I were you I would get your tendon back to 100% and then use synthol I think it could fill in the dent.

Two weeks now since surgery , in plaster at the moment , Surgeon had to remove the piece of tendon attached to the bone , drill holes in bone and thread the other piece of tendon through. He believes that it maybe 6 months to a year until i regain full range of movement. Back to hospital tomorrow for stitches removal and recasting . LOVELY !!!!!

hey bro my best friend did the exact same thing. once they reattached his tendon and muscle it had atrophy but 9 months later it looked good as new. my 2 cents get some hgh if you got the coin if not go with ghrp. eat, do what you can in the gym and be patient. it will get there just give it time bro. nothing good ever came out of rushing recovery.

Well. where do i start !! cast was removed and i unfortunately had an infected arm. I have just come out of hospital after 4 weeks ! Took that long to get it under control along with multiple visits to theatre ! lost 40lbs and have an arm literally the size of my wrist all the way up ! They could not join the two ends together so they drilled holes in my elbow and threaded it through . Strong repair but my arm only bends 90 degrees ! I think i need a bit more than hgh now ! Gutted ! i was looking at competing again next year when i turn 50 ! God i look like ive never lifted a weight in my life now! Anyway enough of my bitching . Patience and i will be back .Thanks for the replies.

Im sorry to hear that buddy. Its tough im sure.

Always look at the bright side, eventually you'll make a full recovery and your muscle memory will kick and and slowly but surely you will regain your muscle. Keep us updated and good luck.

    Cheers.

Thanks my friend, managed to scratch my nose today so its slowly bending a bit more. It looks rearly weird . My upper arm is smaller than my forearm where ive been gripping things when they had my arm immobilised straight ive kept some size in my forearm but my upper arm has just disappeared. Back to see the surgeon saturday . hopefully get back in the gym next week for some cardio!

Eventually ! Trained yesterday . just used 2.5kg dumbell !! yes 2.5kg dumbells for 30 mins . People who dont know me in the gym must of thought i was mad!! Today bloody sore as F#@k .Cant expect much after 9 weeks off of which i sat down for the majority of that!. My left tricep was burning like mad then i realised why. The long head that was detached in late september hasnt done anything for 5 months . Anyway good to be back , collapsed after 20 mins on treadmill . Loved it !!
