    Pinched Sciatic Nerve (Sciatica)

I was doing bent over barbell rows four days ago. I never felt any snap or pop or "oh crap" feeling. Later the same day, the pain kicked in. Right upper butt cheek. No real pain when I walk and I can move around ok, but very painful when This is my first back injury. I will be able to work most body parts through this if it lasts too long. Will stretching help or fix it? Chiropractors, etc?
This is really bad timing. I was ready to start an Ostarine cycle next week.
    Thanks for any help.

Cold pack and some Naproxen to help lessen the inflammation....
I love a bag of frozen peas if you don't have anything right at this moment for a cold pack
very very very light touch massage to help move the energy
STOP lifting or working out since this can inflame more
    maybe very light stretching

go to the doctor if it is real bad

Sucks man, my last injury, bulged discs, screwed me up for almost two months..I was on strict orders from doc not to lift or work, basically he told me to do nothing at all if I wanted to avoid spinal surgery..It worked for me, the pain is still present as always but by resting I dodged the bullet, for now...Hope you recover fast..take it slow n easy for a minute..

Thanks for the help. I'll get some Naproxin.
No working out - major bummer. I was going to lift through it with non-aggravating movements). Ugh. When I see the Doc to get Naproxin, I'll request an MRI, just to get their take on what they see.
    Sicko, you're right, this sucks.

I'm sorry to hear that fjr02. I had a slipped disc when I was hit hard in Ice Hockey. I went home that day after, didn't think nothing of it until I woke up and my left leg was knumb. Turns out I was pinching a nerve in between the slipped disc. I didn't have any surgery but I would wake up with my left leg tingling and my back in pain. Through rehab and stretching I was able to push the disc in place and nerve almost normal. I occasionally would feel back strains, but nothing severe. I still cannot dead lift nor squat as heavy as I used to but, I'd rather knock off a couple of plates and rather strengthen them, core work out is also a must for me to support my back.

I would recommend to lay low and seek advise from your doctor. Worse comes worse you will go in MRI and depending on that your doctor will determine your options. Good luck and sorry to hear about the injurt before your cycle.

I am not sure if you have the availability of a good glute ham raise or reverse hyper, but i can tell you the reverse hyper will help and i read an article in one of the strength magazines about Glute ham raises having a very good inmpact on siatica.

Ok I have a good friend who is an old fashioned back cracking chiro. I'll give him a call.
I lift at 24-hr fitess. I have two glute-ham machines.
    Seated and laying face down.
