    Torn Calf Muscle (I think?)

I think i tore my calf muscle today snowboarding. I was flying down the mountain and hit a rope at just below knee level. It caught me behind my left knee and threw be down hard on my back. So the pain is about 2 inches below my knee on the back of my leg. Anytime I stretch the calf at all or put any weight on my toe the calf really hurts. Kind of like its sore but like ten times worse.

Is it it torn? Do I need to see a doctor? Or can I just do some home remedies? I can walk by putting all my weight on my heel but not very well. This only happened an hour ago and it hurts really bad is it going to be better or worse tomorrow?

It is early treatment of acute soft tissue damage
    •Rest
    •Ice
    •Compression
    •Elevation

Rest: Reduce or stop using the injured area for 48 hours. Uou may need to stay off of it completely, a bit hard to do for a calf injury, I worn my trekking boots, which allow very little foot movement.

Ice: Put an ice pack on the injured area for 20 minutes at a time, best done every 4 hours last I read. Use a cold pack, ice bag, don't put ice directly onto the shin.

Compression: Compression of an injured calf may help reduce the swelling. Use bandages such as elastic wraps.

Elevation: keeps the blood out of the injured area.
