    strained front delt

    I have had a strained front delt for about a week now. what can i do to help with getting it back on track?

    rest is gonna be the number one thing....heat / ice contrast, massages

    once you think you've rested enough start off with some light weight "rehab" exercises and go from there

    what kind of heat/ice combos shopuld i do? like how long for each and when?

    it's harder to do a contrast on something like your shoulder - an ankle, elbow is much easier. since it's been over a week since you've strained it just head it up and massage it, and then ice it after you've used it for a little bit. i'm not sure if you've got access to a heating pad or not, or even a hydrocollator

    Rest it for a week to 10 days. Use some ALEVE and massage.
    Focus on lower body during this period.
