    best rehab for injured wrist

I fell a few months back and caught myself on my right wrist behind me.

Its not broken just really bad sprain in my wrist and thumb. Still cant bend it backward or put much weight on it (i have to use a closed fist). Picking things up are getting better but its really making workouts tough. And by the end off the day my whole forearm is killin' me.

any suggestions on how to help rehab it and build it back up?
I try to ice as much as possible.

Have you put a wrist brace/ ace bandage on it? This helps so you do not strain it. It needs time to heal. Plus the ice is a good idea too.

    Rest Ice Compress Elevate

Maybe keep them on when doing something heavy but off when not like watching tv....I have no idea. Wait for others to chime in on this. I hope ou get well sooner than later!

I have had this happen many times and it is a tricky thing and I have found ( for me) if I leave on the compression it helps to heal sooner. Plus elevate while sleeping.

okay bass so bear with me on this one (newbie)...

I already take in alot of those foods prior to this injury. (which btw hurts bad today from spending the whole day playin around with my daughter)
should I increase the amount i take in of these foods to help with the inflammation? or am i stuck taking the big ibuprofines to get by on the really bad days? oh and ice and elevation.

i wish i have an answer for you bro! if you're already taking these foods/supplements then you just need time for it to heal!
