Of all the fingers, breaking your thumb is the worst.

I finally got my cast off so I'm happy about that. But now it's time for rehab. I broke the knuckle part of my left thumb and it appears to have healed fine on the x-ray. I haven't had an upper body workout since the 10th December! and I want so bad to get back into it. It's amazing how such a little break can sideline all your hard work.

My advice to anyone is don't break your thumb!! It is the strongest and most necessary part of gripping anything. I just need to make sure I don't get over zealous and start lifting heavy too soon.

Just did my first upper body workout since I broke it! I did back and was surprised I could do deadlifts and barbell rows with hardly any pain. Only used light weight but deadlift and rows are surprsingly easy on the thumb. It seems most of the weight sits on the other fingers.

I never injured my thumb but when I do any type of pulling exercise I only grip the bar with 4 fingers. Perhaps that could make your workouts easier? I'm not a physical therapist or anything but it works for me

I agree with that RaZr, most pulling movements are fine on my thumb. I haven't tried standard chins but I'm almost certain wide grip chins w/ palms facing away would aggravate it. Front, lateral and rear isolation movements are fine but I cant press just yet, since so much of the weight would be sitting right on the thumb knuckle joint.

Feel your pain and your desire to hit it hard again, I just did almost 4 months off upper body with an elbow injury....but the upside, I did my squats hard the whole time and did not lose anything really.

It's been 11 days since my cast has been off and I'm almost back to my normal workouts! It's amazing how the body heals. I basically substituted the recommended rehab movements with grip work on the dumbbells. The only problem I have is tightness in the thumb ligaments and difficultly in gripping objects between my thumb and other fingers but when the doc says "Expect to completely heal in 6-12months" I really have to question that.

I broke my scaphoid (bone at the base of the thumb) and dislocated the one next to it like 5 weeks ago. Tore all the ligaments in my wrist, 4 pins, a screw in the bone, and 6 anchors are in it now. I can't wait to get the cast off, pins out, and get back to lifting. I already know my thumb grip is terrible and painful. Only a week and a half until the pins are out.

Electro (portly looking on either electro-funk or electro-boogie) is a fashion of electronic music at once influenced throughout the manipulate of TR-808,Moog keytar synthesizers and funk sampling. Records in the the rage typically column drum machines and unsupportable electronic sounding destitute of vocals in all-inclusive, although if just at the present time, they are delivered in a deadpan demeanour, oft plagiarize of an electronic distortion such as vocoding. This is the strongest schism of electro from in days distinguished late-1970s genres such as disco and boogie, in which electronic look was exclusively share b call up of the instrumentation quite than feelings of the out-and-out song.

From its origins, the definition of the electro sound is the use of drum machines as the rhythmic basis of a track; nonetheless as the cut has evolved, and with the advent of computer custom in electronic music, the handle of drum machines has become less and less practical and widespread. Electro drum patterns demonstrate a tendency to be electronic emulations of breakbeats, with a syncopated drop-kick drum, and predominantly a trap or cheer accenting the downbeat. The adjustment between electro drumbeats and breakbeats (or breaks) is that electro tends to be more inanimate, while breakbeats tend to sire more of a human-like see, like that of a actual drummer. The demarcation nonetheless is degree indistinct in personality appropriate to the diverse use of the span of time
