    Popped rib from leg press?

    Hey guys

Long story short, i was at the gym today and I tried the 45 degree leg press instead of barbell squats just for something different. I gradually added weight to each set and eventually got 15 full reps on 300kg. I then tried 340kg. On the 3rd rep of the set as I reached the bottom of the negative I felt a pop in the right side of my rib cage so I immediately dropped the weight and stopped. The feeling is hard to describe, but it almost felt as if one of my ribs had actually bent and popped out of place. However, there was no pain at all.

I continued the workout with isolation exercises as I didnt want to push my luck. During the sets of hamsrting curls I felt a weird sensation in that rib, still no pain though. Even now, about 1.5 hours after my workout, I still feel no pain at all. When i twist to my left I do feel a bit of pain in that side of my rib cage though.

I'm only guessing that I've popped a rib out of place at very worst, but do you guys and have ideas or advice that could help me out?

    Thanks in advance

Could be you did something to the cartilage that attaches the muscles to the ribs. I have a chronic condition called Costochondritis that is an inflamation of this cartilage, matter a fact the rib directly under my right pec. has been killing me for a week. Probably what happened.?
