First of all thanks in advance for taking the time to respond w/your valuable info gathered no doubt from years of hardwork like myself.

My problem: Just got word back from doc, no cartiledge left in left shoulder. Right not to far behind. Have not worked out for quite some time do to this
painful situation. Have you ever used any cartiledge synthesis therapy or injectables in combination with other types of rehab instead of straight up shoulder repla***ent?

Have heard to many horror stories about shoulder surgery and am willing to try just about anything before it. The surgeons I've spoken to seem to be experts
at knees and hips but shy away from shoulders. BTW, I am 50 and with the exception of the shoulder feel like 25 and want to stay feeling that way as long as possible.

I have been trying most everything for a year now. I'm scheduling my surgery this week, I'm tired of messing with it. Find a GOOD doctor. Do your research. Make sure you at least get a 2nd opinion. If it's that far gone the I would go for full repla***ent. I know several people including my sister who just had it done and LOVE it. Mine is being fixed, not replaced. Doc said no need for that. Most all the injections such as HA are only temporary fixes at best especially if the cartilage is gone or mostly gone as in your case. Most people who have actual repla***ent have less or the same healing time than those getting fixed.

I'm 50 in October. Getting older suck. Mentally I am still 14 most of the time. lol
