Benching accident
Hope this isn't a repost. Shows that you never know when your ticket will be punched. This guy probably did this movement 10,000 times in his life.
Video may be graphic to some

Wow that's crazy the depression that made. What was the pounds on that anyone know??
I have seen people appear fine and then die later so that's common in chest injuries.

You might wanna edit your post to say that its a fatal accident. Then people can make an educated decision on whether to watch or not. Myself I luckily read through the comments will not watch it. Since for me I doubt it will serve any educational benefit, so I would feel disrespectful by watching it.

That's the truth. Wonder what he damaged for a delayed death?

Found this from the story. I am not using this to bash this poor fellow, just putting this out there for some who may use this technique.
According to eyewitness, the sportsman used unsafe (banned) technique called “open grip” [ed: possibly related to the position of thumb while holding the bar]. Already during the training session he had the weight of 160 kg slipping from his hands, but then spotters managed to hold the bar.
During the competition, however, the spotters did not succeed to catch the bar in time. Everything happened very quickly

I have been in the medical field for 12 yrs now. I have seen these chest injuries. Crush injuries might I add.
Busted/ruptured aorta, collapsed lungs, crushed trachea, deviated trachea a number of things could have happened in this situation.
Very sad. I did notice his grip tho. Thumbs weren't wrapped around bar.

Ugh. Looks like it feel right on his heart and/or liver.
To be frank though, the postings aren't enough to convince me that he died.
