my bodybuilding coach had me doing deads 3 x a week about a year ago and i ended up rupturing a disk at L4/L5. I kept training because the pain wasn't too bad and i didn't know what it was from at first. I soon developed sciatica all the way down my left leg. Stopped training for several months and have been going to physio. The physio now has me doing a lot of muscle-control, core and balance exercises. strengthening my core seems to be helping quite a bit so far. I'm itching to do some heavy lifting again though. Anyone have any experience with this? Any input would be much appreciated! Thnx.
