I have this horrible shoulderpain that causes me to not be able to sleep on my side at night, even wake me up at nighttime when i am trying to move my arm during sleep. As soon as my shoulder is without movement for a few mins it feels stiff when trying to move my arm and a sharp pain shoots through my whole shoulder. What could that be? Also the pain is not even there at all during the day when i am constantly moving around and disappears when i move my shoulder.
I'm having the same issue right now. My friend is a physical therapist and she told me it's some kind of tendon inflammation. She found the center of it, simply by squeezing my shoulder and founding the place of biggest pain. She's treating me on very simple way- painfull massage and iceing after that. It helps! Hope it will help you especially you can threat yourself back home. Do not stop working out, but use excersises during which you don't feel pain and also avoid heavy loads.Quote:

Ive had this twice, sucks really bad. I also get the same pain when I drive in the car and dont move it. Makes it nearly impossible to sleep good. I would wake up and rotate my arm and it would pop and go away, but comes back later. Does yours?
Yes the same thing is happening here. I will rotate my shoulder and something in between my shoulderblade and spine will pop than the pain will ease away but will come back later. I have tried the massage, which truely is very painful and cooled with ice afterwards yesterday evening. Last night i could not sleep at all bcz of the incredible pain but today it is a bit better, still painful but it seems to be helping a bit
Having the same problem...mine is on the top of my shoulder...after or numerous xray and physical therapy mri and 2 trips to specialist..he finally narrowed it down to arthritis and inflammation and causing my shoulder to rub my collarbone...he gave me shot a couple of weeks ago help a little. ..thinking about surgery now he will go in and remove a piece of the collarbone so its not bone on bone. Idk as any pushing movement trends to hurt.. good luck get mri done
