SI joint pain since last cycle

Ok so I cycled last winter/spring and have been off for a long while. I injured my quadriceps tendon at work which limited my working out because it was hurting during squats, deads, bench, overhead press etc. All my fav exercises went out the window and I let my leg heal... well now its healed and I go back to the gym successfully. Lifts were a bit stale and weights were down but never pushed the limits because I wanted to ease back into it. Well wouldn't you know I grab a 45lb plate to throw on the bar and I get a sensation down my lower back/left glute. I immediately leave the gym. Next day I wake up and can't move. Doctor tells me its si pain and gives me some vimovo...useless crap. I had 8 sessions with a chiro and felt great. But for some reason it keeps coming back briefly and catches me off guard. Its just a sharp pain that stabs above the arse and usually lasts 10mins. I've began to take Percocet if it gets to uncomfortable and it makes it 100% better. The vimovo does nothing. Is this consistant with si joint pain or siatica or disc problems? Doc refused xray, ct or mri. Said its clearly si joint pain and only time will heal it. This is a real pain in the aas for me (literally) and is messing with my progress. I had a cycle planned and don't want to go for it If this is gonna be an ongoing thing. I've also been told si joint pain could be hormone related. ..

Any thoughts or feedback is appreciated. Cycle Is on hold until I figure this all out but Would deca help this joint pain ? LoL

you will definitely need some sort of imaging. xray not needed? see another doc. plain xray may be able to see if there's any serious SI joint inflammation that may look like some fuzziness over the joint. MRI to see if you have any nerve entrapment or slipped disc. i think its absolute necessary, if the pain persist.

btw, how did your quads injury interfere with your bench and shoulder press?

    Thankz for the reply!

Oddly enough when I bench I keep my feet far back to get a good arch but still remaining on the bench but prepared for a hip drive if necessary... that type of bend at the knee irrritated the injury.

As for the should press I do them standing and keep my knees unlocked. Just that slight bend in the knee with the load of the weight would irritate the injury as well... squat and dead are obvious

    any luck getting the xr?

since the pain from injuries are mainly from excessive inflammation, i feel that vimovo may be a better medication for your problem. it decreases the inflammation and thus may actually help with the healing/recovery process.

percocet kind of numbs your brain and block the pain. it may seem more effective in the short term, but it doesn't help with the recovery at all.

I appreciate that response and will continue the course of vimovo...I just hate swallowing pills that don't give me immediaye satisfaction lol. Unfortunately ill have to postpone the xr until after the weekend as its my kids bday and I'm working some sidejobs. I'll update after the results come in... they only call you if they see something and "no news is good news" seems to be the motto. Makes me feel like they don't even look at them. Swipe the health card and so long sucker! But hey, its free-ish!
