    Bicep problem

So I've always fought pain in my left bicep, it comes and goes but, last week I must have done a number on it. Was hurting--like it usually does--and I was doing arms. I pushed through the pain--like I normally do--and, well, I think I really did something this time. It's been almost a week and still very painful when using it--even for relatively light stuff.

Wondering if others have issues with their biceps as well and how everyone deals with it. Looking like some rest for this guy is on the docket.

    Thanks.

You could be on your way to from a partial to a full bicep tendon tear. I tore mine clean off the bone and after surgery, it was 10 weeks physical therapy. Be careful!

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. Going to be taking it easy on the bicep for a while to see if it gets better. Always frustrating....

I can later but it's low on the bicep near where it connects where the arm bends (at the elbow).

okay, you got what's called tennis elbow or golfers elbow (tendinitis), look it up on youtube to learn how to remedy it, this will not go away and the more you work it the worse it'll get, icing, rest, stretching and some anti inflammatory meds are necessary to speed up the healing process. here is my favorite video to start with,

Golfer's Elbow Treatment Program - YouTube

Check to see if you bicep tendon is still attached, bend your arm, stick your finger under the tendon= good to go. If no tendon there= royally screwed. Had similar pain on mine after doing heavy negative workout. Pain lasted for 3 weeks, had to take 2 months off just to be safe. Last thing you want is a ruptured tendon.

Sounds like yet another candidate for a TB500 cycle.

I would start out by making sure you do not rotate your palms in when curling. I had a similar problems for a few months until I started keeping my palms out the whole time.
