    Artificial tanning lotions

Couldn't find this in the search.
How do I tan artificially WITHOUT THE BEDS simply with a lotion?
How long does it last? Is it true I will go golden? Which ones don't make me golden, or better, how to prevent it?

Well, I guess one reason is that both the booths and the "outside" sun will greatly increase the chance of you getting various forms of skin cancer. As well as aging the skin, causing wrinkles etc. Some of the new creams/lotions are actually great products, such as the new Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Foam, which I hear is outstanding, and provides an even, natural looking tan.

A lotion by Supree named " Smoke " will do it sunless. EXPENSIVE though.

I have not been able to find an artifical tan lotion that did not either turn me orange, or have a nasty smell to it..the last one I tried, smelled like pumpkin guts.
