Severe wrist pain couple hours after benching?

Going on 3 weeks ago, I was doing close grip bench and at one point felt like I tweaked my wrist slightly. No big deal. Didn't hurt much. I was using wrist wraps since i was kinda heavy at 315 pounds. Anyways...went home and couple hours later my wrist was in excruciating pain. Decided to give it some time but in nearly three weeks there's no relief. There's very little swelling, no bruising, and the pain is isolated to at the wrist right at the base of my thumb. I have very limited range of motion front to back but little pain if I move my hand side to side.

Anyone have something like this happen to them?

Also...I am going to go see my doctor at this point...while I waited for an appointment I thought I'd ask just to see if there was anyone else with something similar.

Is your palm swollen? Hard to see much in photo. Could it be dislocated or hairline fracture??

I have this happen often in my left wrist when I get heavy. My old doc is a quack and I haven't bothered to find a new one since I'm moving in a few weeks. I normally just sinch down my wrist wraps and if that doesn't help I stick my thumb along the bar instead of gripping the bar with it. Then take it easy for a few weeks with it

My guess has always been hairline stress fracture. But let us know what the Dr says.

No swelling in the palm. Slight swelling from front to back right at the area that's in red. If I hold my arms up next to each other I can tell my right wrist is a little thicker than the left.

Weird thing is...when I lift...the pain goes away mostly but certain grips make it hurt. Then a while after I'm done it will start to hurt again. I know that I should be laying off things but it's hard to do.

I don't think it's dislocated but a fracture is certainly possible I guess. I hope not...I have a bench meet coming up in a few weeks.

Get it checked out. Fractures are worse than a break alot of the time. Lay off and get an xray.
