Corticosteroid Injections for Rotator Cuff Disorders
Does anyone have experience with self injection of corticosteroids into the shoulder?

Yes, I have had a couple in both shoulders. It does help a bit but not a cure, it only helps with the pain. DONT do any lifting for 2 weeks after the injection because it can damage the tendons more. Also dont do more than 3 injections into one are or it will also start to deteriorate the tendons.

Had my injection done today and got prescribed naproxen 500mg/day. Will only do Legs and Abs for two weeks and see how it feels to make sure I am not using that darn shoulder. Thanks for the advice!

LB thanks for this,I'm not a big fan of steroid injections due to the fact they are not a cure. I'm on my 2nd one for the shoulder and I must say they do help with pain. I've gotta get recovered a little more from my knee and then I'll get the shoulder done.
