lower back pain
I think while I pulled or lifted/carried something while at work I either strained or pulled a muscle in my lower back. Its uncomfortable when I sit and hurts when I stretch it but I can still lift things without using my back and walk just fine but it just hurts when I bend or try to use my back. How should I approach in recovering my lower back because I wanna go to the gym I don't wanna miss a day but I'm guessing I should sit tomorrow out any advice?

Sounds like some type of subluxation or nerve impingement which can cause inflammation. I'd see a good chiropractor if you can. One that does limbs. Know that many bad backs can be aggravated / caused by weak abs or tight hamstrings. With me it's always tight hamstrings. My chiro would say if the exercise doesn't aggravate it, go ahead and do it. When the inflammation subsides hopefully the muscles in the area will relax and allow the impingement to cease.
When you cough or sneeze does it hurt?

I injured my back yesterday morning doing deadlifts. I've been icing my back 20 minutes at a time every two hours and taking plenty of ibpropherin. Also went to the chiropractor first thing this morning and he snapped me around and tonight I am feeling better. I'm going to rest tomorrow. If I were you I would definitely do some icing.

You must have gotten some good advice.
Yes, Ice, Ice, Ice, no heat. Heat will add blood flow and inflammation causing more pain.
Ice for 20 - 30 minutes on, 20 - 30 minutes off and repeat 3 times in a row and try to do at least 3x a day. NSAID as needed for pain.
If you have to continue lifting at work and while training try wearing a flexible lifting belt, it also helps to support the back and reminds you to lift properly using core muscles.
