    cant shoulder press

Feels like a sharp pain internally about where my rear delt is. It hurts to externally rotate and press

Could be a rotator cuff injury? How are your lat pull downs feeling? I would get to a doc or physio therapist and get it healed as soon as you can. Shoulder injuries are the worst!

I think it's probably rotator cuff related as well. Pull downs don't really hurt maybe if I go really wide

There are far better alternatives that specifically target the shoulder muscles without the risk of injury.

Biomechanically a shoulder press is a worthless exercise in my opinion.

Side/front/rear lateral raises are supreme, high benefit, little to no risk.
I prefer to do them with cables to change the resistance curve.

I would concur with rotator cuff injury. RICE and ibuprofen, if no improvement see doctor.

Thanks hello, good advice. Yeah I've been hitting all the raises for crazy volume. I just miss that heavy over load that gives your shoulders the wow factor. But you're right the external rotation puts the rotator cuff in a pinch. I can do this, I can still grow
