    Melanotan?

Whats the deal with this stuff? I know that its supposed to give you a tan, but what sort of tan...is it an orangy colour or the kind of tan you get when you have been out in the sun for a while?
Isnt it supposed to give spontaneous erections and suppress the appetite?

it speeds up the process of your skin pigmentation... so it gives you a natural tan.. because your skin CELLS actually get darker. so no orange or fake looking..its not a fake tan. its your real skin, really getting darker with less sun exposure

and yes some of the sides are erections and nausia. but they subside as you keep using it

    Nice1, that sound good! lol
See the only reason why I would be put off by it is the suppressed appetite, but if you said that they subside when using it then its not so bad. And the spontaneous erections wouldnt bother me, just wouldnt want to take it with any viagra lol
What sort of dosages are used then and for how long exactly?

youll have to research doses. its in ratio to bodyweight if i remember correctly. like so many mg's per lb of body weight. but dont take my word for that. im just saying.

and i know ppl who will shoot it at night before bed... that way the nausia passes and your fine when you wake and in turn can eat all day like normal.

i started with .5mg ed.. bumped it up to 1mg ed.. took about 2 weeks before really noticed myself but others said i was getting darker.. tanned once, maybe twice a week.
after about 20mg i was really getting dark.. looked like i just crossed the boarder apparently as i had several people coming up to me speaking spanish.. i backed it off a bit.. now just use .5mg every 2-3 days to maintain the tan..

Yeh? I'll have to look it up then m8.
I mean I've been getting 10hrs sleep a night easy what with work at a halt, which makes it a good thing when taking it at night like you said.
Can I drink it?? lmao That was a joke!!!

Definitely is not as it does not poison or dye your skin. Like dukkit stated, it stimulates your melanocytes...nothing else like it

There are a handful of good threads in the SPA that you should check out if you are interested in melanotan

    I used the same protocol.

.5mg for 2 weeks, then bumped it for 1mg for 2 more weeks. After that it was .5mg twice a week for maintenance.

I had the darkest tan of my life and was able to maintain it for a long time. The downside was the amount of freckles I got in my face.

so once you stop taking it, roughly how long would the tan stay for?
I always used to go to a tanning studio when I was with my ex gf, I should av just stuck her in the ass with it. Hahaha, listen to me!!

so far no proof of such a side has been found

i would go as far as to say that it would help fight off skin cancer

cuz in my mind... if you use this, and tan for 2 hours a week (hypothetically) you will get the same tan tone as if you didnt use this and had to tan for 6 hours a week without using it.

so less actual UV exposure (for the same skin tone)... less risk of skin cancer.

but like i said.. no info to prove or disapprove of this theory

yes, i see that side of it, but couldn't you also say that by adding the chemicals it forces the cells to take in more light than normal, which is why the tan comes about faster?

i don't even know if thats how it works, but thats just what i thought of first

I see where you were going with your thoughts...but this is simply not a fitting analogy in regards to how melanotan effects one's melanogenisis

Hugovsilva: did the freckles subside after you lowered the dose or came off the melanotan completely? i have been on for about 12 days now, getting dark, but have mild freckles on my face, and an amount of black dots on my skin. I am not worried aslong as they dont get much worse, but was wondering if they fade with discontinued usage?

Any update? Your tone should blend over the course of the next couple weeks. Sounds like a typical experience. Can be a bit awkward, but ride it out if you can

MT2 is a great product, the freckles are damage from years past, you may not have been able to see them, but with the addition of substance you will see them..

will they go away.. some but much of it will stay, but you created them long ago..

    good luck..

If you are hesitant to take a peptide like this...nobody should sell you on it. Do not take it.

They should return to normal eventually. Some do state their tone permanently changes (hard to use the term permanent and the trials and users have not been using for too long). but as far as moles, they should get lighter. Sorry, I personally dont have any moles...just going off info I have read

I was a joking m8. I'm going to try it out hopefully in a few weeks. I'm not pale skinned anyway and dont have freckles.

If people are at all prone to moles they should consider having them removed and the skin healed up before ever considering taking a melanotan peptide. Normally when one first starts dosing moles and freckles will darken disproportionately relative to the rest of one's skin which can setup a disagreeable contrast. Normally as time goes by and the rest of the skin "catches up" to the moles and this contrast is reduced. Unfortunately though when one lets a melanotan peptide based tan fade the moles are the last to return to normal and this can take quite some time. Best to remove moles first and let the skin heal up.

    Thanks,

This statement is only true for Melanotan one (absolutely NOT TRUE for Melanotan II). Melanotan one is being developed by an Australian company called under the name "afamelanotide".
