    pec tear at tendon junction

hi everyone, i posted about a pec tear a few weeks ago but ive since got my mri results. ive had a partial tear at the musculotendinous junction of the pec major. the surgeon wasnt sure if surgery was the best option or not so hes referred me to one of the top specialists in this area. has anyone had a similar injury and not had surgery? i think surgery will restore almost full strength but im worried about the muscle atrophy that will happen as i wont be able to train for 6 months with surgery. thanks

Ricky, I had the exact same thing happen to me 6 weeks ago. I am curious if you ended up having surgery or not, and how you have recovered in this time. I am currently considering surgery, and going to see a specialist very soon.

    Thank you.

Can I ask what the pain felt like? Maybe a silly question, I'm just curious for myself.
