    Chiro gave another round of treatment.
    Don't think it has changed much but the pain when brushed isnt quite so sharp.

    See how it is when the needles come out again.

    Gf just came in while I was laying in bed and sat down, sliding her ass down my shin.

    I flopped around like a dying fish yelling until the pain went away enough and started laughing hysterically.

    That was a bad one, worst yet.
    I don't know wtf is wrong with this damn thing.
    I was told to go to the hospital but... I aint yet.
    Hoping something will give/seperate/make way.

    What I am going to do is a shit ton of calf and toe raises until I think I am gonna die.

    Then I am gonna grab a 5lb dumbell and lift my toes up and flex the front muscle. I am gonna beat the shit out of that muscle until the fascia tears.

    Look at it this way bud:
    You're not running at 100%, so you're losing out on potential gains.
    Go to the doc, get better sooner. The sooner you get better, the sooner you go hit the muscle group at 110%, the sooner you get even bigger.

    In short: going to doctor = getting bigger
    Not going to the doc = being a small little girly man

    Or you could keep going hurt, get seriously injured, and be out of the gym all together and wither away.

    My cousin had shin splints, ignored it, and ended up needing surgery. No bueno

    You need an xray
    Xrays revealed noting you need a ct scan
    Scan revealed nothing you need an mri.
    I am sending you to a specialist.

    Specialist says "Its plain as day on the xray"

    $5-10k
    Out of pocket for something I will take care of on my own.

    Only 1.5mm long? That's like .06 ". Please post up your thought on the effectiveness after a week post--treatment, Obs. Is this a procedure that may involve several sessions or is that depending on the results achieved?

    The needles affected the way the pain is. It hurts when I brush it but...

    You habe had molten metal hit you I am sure. It burns so hot it almost feels cold you know, at first anyway.

    That was how this felt. After he did his thing it is more of a Duller but vibrant pain.

    I am beggining to think this is a nerve or a vein trapped in stretch skin that wants to break free and will eventually. If I slide my skin it hurts.
    The gf sitting on my shin with her jaylo plus the other day was excruciating though.

    I had several athletes in the past develope compartment syndrome of the lower leg. They (meaning the ortho) will do a pressure test while you exercise like running. That in and of itself is not a super expensive test. Now, exercise induced compartment syndrome (aka acute onset, aka transient) can actually be very dangerous. You can build up so much pressure that the veins will completely occlude and the heart will keep pumping more and more blood into the lower leg until eventually there is so much pressure, there is zero tissue capillary O2 exchange and vienous return. Typically the anterior compartment is the one most likely compress. Simply due to how tight the fascia is on the shines.

    You might be able to do some fascia release techniques. But they are very painful and take many many treatments. That’s the conservative option, or do what they call a surgical compartment release where they basically just cut the fascia and let it heal up giving more space.

    I will also add that exercise induced doesn’t mean like just going for a run. It can get a blood pump from daily activities like just walking into a store or walking the dog. I’ve seen it so bad with one of my police officer buddies. He couldn’t walk from his front step to the mailbox which was 30-40 feet away. He had to do desk duty until he had surgery.

    This never goes away anymore. Exercise doesnt seem to affect it or make it hurt. When it is brushed it lights up though.

    Btw... If they have fascia release techniques I need them everywhere.

    You could start out with shin splint therapies like ice cup massage or frozen water ball rolling or even just icing the shins after work for 2-3 weeks to see if that helps at all.

    Did they rule out popliteal artery entrapment on the differential? It can also be managed with podiatry inserts before considering surgery.
