    my insulin cycle..check it out

i'm about to run my first cycle of insulin and i need opinions from people with experience..so i came here. i am 5'8 170lbs about 14% bodyfat and i'm 23, training for almost 2 years

i will be running Humalog for a month. i chose humalog because of its short active window, and i feel like it will be easier to handle.

i'll start at 5 IU's post workout, and work my way up 1 IU each week, until i reach 8 IU. i will keep glucose tablets on hand. here is what my diet will look like..

    6am- 3 egg whites, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 scoops whey, 1tsp creatine = 4.5g fat, 30g carbs, 41g protein

9am- peanut butter on whole wheat = 19g fat, 35g carbs, 17g protein

    11:30am- ~6oz chicken breast, 1 cup steamed broccoli = 3g fat, 10g carbs, 34g protein

    3pm- 2 scoops whey = 3g fat, 6g carbs, 48g protein

    5:30pm- 1 cup organic whole wheat pasta, 1 banana = 2.5g fat, 85g carbs, 13g protein

    6pm- workout

    ~7pm- insulin sub-q, 1 scoop waxy maize, 2 scoop whey, 1tsp creatine = 40g carbs, 48g protein

~8pm- lean steak or chicken breast, 2 baked potato OR 1 cup brown rice, maybe some broccoli

9:30pm- tuna, 2 cups fat free milk, 1 cup orange juice - 1g fat, 52g carbs, 33g protein

    10pm- sleep

what do you guys think? oh yeah, i wont be pinning on non-workout days.

I have heard it is better to start at 2iu's a day and go up from there.....If you jump straight to 5IU's a day you might end up in a coma......think about it.....

you're waiting 2 hours before putting food into you? amazing idea...........................

expecially when humalog ramps up your insulins level like crazy at 5iu, for atleast 3-4 hours.

and the fact your pinning late is also dangerous because I don't even think ur insulin will be out before you go to bed, if your not shooting IM.

your not ready for it, get more knowledge on it, and yet your too young to be messing around with it.

first of all i'm not waiting 2 hours, im waiting less than 1 hour since it DOES take time for me to pin, drive home from the gym and make my food...right?

second, i dont think you know anything about insulin because if you did, you'd know that humalog peaks after an hour after pinning then starts to decline.

and yeah i kind of feel like i'm pinning too late, but by the time i go to bed my insulin levels will be very very close to normal. but just as a precaution i'll be adding a complex carb (maybe a banana) to my before-bed meal. and i usually wouldnt fall asleep till like 10:30 anyway.

but CanYouDigIt...stick to AAS because it doesnt seem like you know too much about insulin.

First off your stats are horrible. You need to train alot harder and diet alot better then you are. 5'8 170?!?!? and 14%bf???? ... do you even know how to train? lol

....seriously dude do your research and find a nice workout routine and get your diet in check. then once your atleast 190lbs and under 10%bf come back and ask about using the most anabolic substance known to man.

first of all i am training to the best of my ability which is 5 days a week working my ass off. second, how could you even know my diet is not 'in check' ? and if you must know...in june 2008 my doctor told me that my muscle development was SIGNIFICANTLY below average and i should start weight training immediately.

besides, i didnt know there were certain physical criteria i had to meet before starting a cycle. why the **** should it make a difference? it's a personal choice of mine which you should not interfere with. i come on this board to ask for help not for closed minded faggots like yourself to tell me whether or not i should cycle.

i've been reading about insulin for a very long time now if you look at my previous posts. so why not be a productive member of this board and tell me what about my planned diet you claim isn't 'in check'.

I dated somebody who was a diabetic. Had this problem their whole life. Scary at times to see them get low and have to drink juice (sometimes 25), or get high and having to inject constantly monitoring.
This is dangerous, and I wouldnt touch it. Make sure somebody in your house is aware, and they have a glucose shot ready. Dead serious.

a few of your meals need more protein, like the meal that only has a banana and pasta

besides that, diet looks decently thought out

will you be using insulin without AAS?

Good god! I hope you are still alive.

Sir, I don't know you and what chances you take with your life are yours and yours alone. I am a diabetic and so is my 7 year old son. We take insulin 4 times a day. We use Novalog and Lantis insulin. Humulin "R" is the same as the novalog insulin. Humulin "N" is the same as the lantis insulin we take. Humulin "R" starts working in 15min and peaks at 2-2.5 hours, remaining active for up to 6 hours. Humulin "N" is designed not to peak and is active in the body for up to 24 hours.

Insulin should never be injected in a muscle!

Please understand that a normal blood sugar is 80-150. If you take insulin when you are on the lower side of this scale you will with out a doubt go low. Guess how fast you can go from 80 to below 20? under 3 min! I know this because both my son and I have lived through this. Guess what happens when you are 50... You dream, you don't know your surrounding, you don't know who anybody is, You become catatonic. You compleatly loose the ability to understand anything. You won't even comprehend that you are low and need sugar. When you are below 30 you may pass out. When you are below 10 your brain and nervious system stops you are dead.

It only takes 3-5 min to die. Please if you are really going to do this make sure this is worth dying for. Please make sure you have Juice at all times in the home and everywhere you go. Invest in a glucose meter. Never ever go to bed right after or within 3 hours from your last injection. Always make sure you are on the high end of the scale 130-150 before you go to bed. It would be wise to also have a glucagon gun in the event you are found passed out. You will die in your sleep if your blood sugar falls to zero in the middle of the night.

Yes I am trying to scare the shit out of you. And yes this can happen and does happen very frequently.

    Please reconsider.

thanks for the info. and i did know that you shouldn't inject insulin into a muscle, which is why i found it pretty odd that somebody on this board would even mention it.

and i might change my day around on account of a new working schedule which will take effect in about a month. this new working schedule will allow me to get to the gym at 3, and be done around 4 (which is when i will pin).

thanks for the info everybody, i will start a new thread soon.
